A Republican-led House Foreign Affairs Committee released a comprehensive, more than 350 pages long report on the 2021 U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. The withdrawal, which concluded the U.S.'s longest war, resulted in the deaths of 13 American service members and left thousands of Afghan civilians who had assisted U.S. troops stranded.
Republican Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) described it as a "catastrophic failure of epic proportions" and blamed the Biden Administration.
