Virginia Foxx, the U.S. representative for North Carolina's 5th congressional district, has continued to act as one of the more active traders in the House.

The Congresswoman disclosed last week that she made tens and tens of new trades in august, mostly on the buy side. Among other trades, Foxx invested between $15,000 and $50,000 in GlaxoSmithKline (GSK: US) on two occasions. The average closing price on the days these two trades took place stayed between $38.30 and $40.57. She bought more GSK shares on other occasions in August, although in lower sizes.

Elsewhere, the Congresswoman also bought shares of Vector Group (VGR: US), which operates Liggett Group LLC and New Valley LLC; National Fuel Gas (NFG: US), The Mosaic Company (MOS: US), Hess (HES: US), and Golden Ocean (GOGL: US). All these trades fell under the $15,000 - $50,000 size bracket.

The Congresswoman also accumulated a stake in Alcoa (AA: US) via 6 trades in August, all worth between $1,000 and $15,000.

Foxx was buying GSK shares just a month after she sold $100,000 - $250,000 worth of the company’s stock, at the end of that day the closing price was $41.44. Her other biggest trade in July was buying $100,000 - $250,000 worth of shares of The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD: US).

GSK is the second-most traded stock by Foxx after AT&T (T: US). These two are followed by One Liberty Properties (OLP: US), and Clearway Energy (CWEN: US). Foxx is actively trading in sectors like Energy, Consumer Staples, Utilities, and Financials.

Foxx sits in the committees that oversee Education and Labor, as well as Oversight and Reform.
