Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger has proved again why she is considered to be one of the most active stock market traders in the House.

Mrs. Harshbarger, the U.S. representative for Tennessee's 1st congressional district, was an active seller of U.S. Treasury in August and September, as filings show. Accordingly, Harshbarger's staff reported that she made three sell trades in the value range of $15,000 - $50,000 involving the U.S. Treasury on August 24 and September 15.

Elsewhere, the Congresswoman made nearly 50 trades involving several stocks, all falling under the $1,000 - $15,000 value range. For instance, the Congresswoman was selling shares of UnitedHealth Group (UNH: US) in mid-September when the market price of UHN closed at $523.55. This is interesting given that healthcare stocks have been bid recently as investors increase their exposure to the healthcare sector.

Mrs. Harshbarger was also selling Schlumberger (SLB: US) shares as oil prices continue to trade lower on global growth concerns. Another defense stock - Northrop Grumman (NOC: US) was sold in August on several occasions.

On the other hand, the Tennessee Representative was also buying shares of ServiceNow (NOW: US), Charles Schwab (SCHW: US), Lockheed Martin (LMT: US), VMware (VMW: US), Centene (CNC: US), and IDEXX Laboratories (IDXX: US).

Some of the most traded stocks by Congresswoman Harshbarger include NortonLifeLock (NLOK: US), Adobe (ADBE: US), Amazon (AMZN: US), and Electronic Arts (EA: US). Unsurprisingly, IT is her favorite sector for trading, followed by Industrials, Consumer Discretionary, and Financials.

Congresswoman Harshbarger sits on committees that are in charge of Education & Labor, and Homeland Security.
