Josh Gottheimer, the U.S. representative for New Jersey's 5th congressional district since 2017, made at least six trades in August valued at none less than $1 million, according to the recently disclosed filing.

All these trades involved shares of Microsoft (MSFT: US), which is by far Gottheimer’s favorite stock for trading. The Congressman was buying and selling Microsoft Stock Options on August 11 on six different occasions, with all trades worth between $1 million and $5 million.

Gottheimer made six more Microsoft Options trades worth between $250,000 and $500,000 on the same day, filings showed. Six days later, the Congressman sold MSFT two times with each trade worth between $100,000 and $250,000. Gottheimer also reported a buy trade on the same day.

Elsewhere, Congressman Gottheimer made 15 other trades, albeit in smaller sizes. He was trading shares of Apple (AAPL: US), Coca-Cola (KO: US), and Lowe’s (LOW: US), among others.

This is the first time since February that Gottheimer is aggressively trading Microsoft stock. Alphabet (GOOGL: US), Apple(AAPL: US), and Tesla (TSLA: US) are other stocks that Gottheimer is trading on a regular basis.

Understandably, the Congressman’s favorite sector for trading is IT, followed by Healthcare, Consumer Discretionary, and Financials.

Congressman Gottheimer is one of the most closely followed House representatives given that his trades usually involve bigger sizes while also being a member of the Financial Services committee. He also sits on the Homeland Security committee.
